All Geeked Up And Ready For CeBit.
The later part of this week is going to be another big one for gadget lovers. CeBIT, Centrum der Büro- und Informationstechnik - or for those who don’t speak German, the Center for office and information technology, will be held in Hanover from March 10 to 16. Some are suggesting it to be a good few days, given some predictions for the increase in sales of mobile phones and other technology.
A few companies have pre-announced their products. Nokia’s new phones, which were no doubt announced early to disrupt Sony’s Walkman announcement, and Kingston Technology, ATI and asetek combining to announce a +5000 MHz gamers “Dream Machine”PC. Just a showcase for their individual technologies. iRiver are also set to show off their new 1GB and 20GB additions to the H10 series media players.
Wired discusses a few of the interesting technologies we can expect to see at the show, and coincidentally talks a lot about VOIP and mobile phones. A similar theme to my Skype On The Verge Of Its Tipping Point post from the other day. PC Advisor tips Mobile TV being the big buzz of the show.
I’ll keep my eyes open for those sweeter announcements and have the news in one of the weekly podcasts. Next year TPN will send me to the show, right Mick and Cam ;).

Except for possible gadgets I can’t advise for going to Hanover. Usually I hear complaints like “Hanover - why the hell Hanover?!” ;o)
