The New PodNova Podcatcher.
I installed and tested a new Podcast Aggregator this weekend. PodNova, a new directory has also released the PodNova client.
The nice thing about both is the ability to add shows with a single click. You’ll see the button on the right hand side of this blog. Create an account and you can click on the “chicklet” to add the show to your PodNova subscriptions. If you install the client it’ll then be added to your list and downloaded automatically. Very smart. Normally you have to add a feed to the client via several steps.
The other great thing about the site is its Top 40. It’s generated by the number of subscriptions rather than votes. That to me means a much more accurate guide as to the quality of a show. The Gadget Show is lucky enough to be in their current Top 40, which we’re eternally grateful to all the listeners for.
The Podcast Network has also got its own category, so it’s much easier to subscribe to each or every show.
So, if your looking for a new client, give it a whirl, and subscribe to The Gadget Show’s feed. It’d be great to see the show move up the ranks.

Hey Richard,
Getright actually is in the process of adding in a Podcast Aggregator. The Aggregator it self is nothing special (in fact needs a fair bit of work) but I love the downloading abilities that it adds (i.e. multi-threaded, resume ready, etc).

Thanks for the review, very much appreciated. What we also offer is client synchronisation if you for example sometimes listen on a telephone and sometimes on your ipod you would like the podcatchers on those individual devices to know what show you are subscribed to. With our pre-aggregated rss feed or the dynamic opml feed you can do just this. Stay synchronized :)
