Wow really short podcast…. however it was a very fun cast. I really enjoy Kelly penguin additional sound effects to the super tux game. :)

It was short - yes indeed, but I’m glad you enjoyed it. I don’t think anyone’s going to learn anything from this one, but sometimes we just want to have fun!
Plus a nice short show like that allowed us to get back on schedule. We played with the idea of not doing a show this week, but discarded that idea on favour of doing a short, light one.

Hi Guys! I want to congratulate for your very nice show! However the reason I’m writing this is to complain: forgive me for saying this, but the sound of the last episode (#20) was unacceptable… I’m sure you have realised it yourselves, but I had to tell you. Kelly’s voice was too loud, so loud that her voice was distorted at times. The other voices were normal, so I had to re-adjust the volume every time someone else was speaking. Friendly tip: You could at least use a compressor effect after the recording, knowing that the recorded volume was unsteady.
Friendly,
Elias

Hi Elias,
Yes - it’s tru, our gear is coming to the end of it’s life. When our mics were new and shiny everything was groovy, but now that they’re getting old and crappy the sound quality is definitely dying.
I do use a ‘normalize’ at the end of the recording to attempt to bring it back into normal ranges, but that only goes so far.
We’re doing our best to get new equipment but we’d rather hang on a little longer and get good gear rather than buy more cheap stuff right now.
Thanks for the feedback ,and sorry the show wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been.
