The NBA Shows #012
The NBA Show #012 (mp3 16MB - 46min 48sec)
We got more of your NBA season previews right here! We talk about how Hurricane Katrina has affected the NBA, get you up to date on a couple of the recent Free Agent signings, and give you our insights into 3 teams to watch this season: The Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, and Indiana Pacers. Will they improve over last season? Have they made mistakes and will suffer this season? Listen to find out.
Oh, we also throw in a Dennis Rodman update and talk about the NBA player who participated in the 1975 Baton Twirling National Championship.
thanks for listening!

Hi, Like your podcasts a lot, wish they could be a little more fantasy specific, who will be valuable to pickup from each team etc. Also, you tend to overuse the word headcase, almost everyone is a headcase or an angel but I guess things aren´t that clear cut all the time.
Can you do an analysis of the players who will step up in the coming season? call it sleepers analysis if you like.
thanks, Bjorn

Do you think you could do an analysis of the Golden State Warriors? As a resident of the Bay Area I am interested in hearing some opinions regarding their upcoming season from people outside of the Bay Area.
Thanks,
Michael

Since I am the wife of one of the “talents” of this show, I would like to throw my hat into the ring to play fantasy basketball. Besides, once I beat James at this, I can let him know who the really wears the baggy shorts in the family!
May all your balls be orange and round! Jules

Thanks for the comments everyone. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Bjorn - we’ll look into doing some “players to watch” profiles as the regular season approaches.
Michael - as a former Bay Area resident I would love to do a profile of the Warriors. They are sure to be a very exciting team this year!
Thanks for listening guys!

Any chance you could do an analysis of the Celtics. I’m excited about the prospects Green, Greene, West, Jefferson, but still worried about the weakness at Centre

Kings at 6th?! Hah, that’s hilarious….the lowest they will go is 4th, and 2nd seems much more likely.
oh, and the analysis of the Kings’ bench is way off, whoever was commentating there needs to look at the full roster. Brian Skinner and Kenny Thomas were starters at the end of last year and put up impressive numbers, plus now we have Francisco Garcia and Jason Hart coming in as guards, and of course Corliss Williamson at the 3. The general consensus this year is that the Kings’ bench will be, actually, too deep and many players, namely Kenny Thomas and Kevin Martin, won’t get enough time and might become disgruntled. The “shallow” bench comment was way out of left field and you guys should research a little bit more before trying to make any respectable analysis.

I’ll second that request for a Celtics preview.
